This study examines the effects block play using pre-drawing pictures, photographs, and portfolio on young children's reasoning ability, mathematic ability, and creativity. Subjects are forty-four children from two class of B kindergarten in P city and S kindergarten in W city. One class was assigned to an experimental group and had block play using pre-drawing pictures, photographs, and portfolio and the other class was assigned to a comparative group that had general block play. The results of this study are as follows : there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the comparative group in their reasoning ability, mathematic ability, and fluency of creativity. These findings suggest that block play using pre-drawing pictures, photographs, and portfolio can be an effective teaching-learning method for reasoning ability, mathematic ability, and creativity.
