회수물류(reverse logistics)는 생산자에서 소비자로 이동하는 기존 물류를 확장한 형태로 소비자가 상품을 받은 시점 이후에 발생하는 여러 물류 활동을 포괄하는 개념이다. 주로 재사용이나 부품과 원자재의 재활용, 반품, 폐기 등을 목적으로 물류활동을 수행하는 것을 말한다. 회수물류는 일반물류에 비해 수요가 안정적이지 않으며, 운송 대상이 되는 제품의 형태가 일정하지 않기 때문에 불확실성이 높은 물류형태로 볼 수 있다. 따라서 이를 체계적으로 관리할 수 있는 제반 방법이나 개념이 추가적으로 연구되어야 하는 분야이다. 본 연구에서는 회수물류의 운영을 체계적으로 관리하기 위한 한 방법으로 지금까지 제시된 회수물류의 운영요인에 물류 대상 제품들의 특성과 시간적 특성을 추가하여 상대적 중요성을 파악하여 보았다. 지금까지 제시된 운영요인은 비용 대비수익, 운송수단, 저장용이성, 운송용이성, 재활용이성, 포장용이성을 활용하여 측정하였다. 또한 추가적 요소인 제품의 특성은 수거 대상 제품의 수량, 제품의 경제적 잔여가치 등으로 평가하였고, 시간적 특성은 해당 제품군의 신제품의 개발주기, 제품의 설계 변경 주기와 같은 제품의 상대적 시간(clock speed)을 이용하여 평가하였다. 평가결과 물류 대상에 따라 서로 다른 중요성이 제시되었으며, 특히 회수 대상의 활용도가 높을수록 제품의 특성과 시간적 특성이 중요한 것으로 나타났다.
Reverse logistics is a comprehensive logistics, which activities include diversity logistics afterward consumer received goods. Reverse logistics is a process whereby companies can become more environmentally efficient through recycling, reusing, and reducing the amount of materials used. Typical reverse logistics activities would be the processes a company uses to collect used, damaged, unwanted (stock balancing returns), or outdated products, as well as packaging and shipping materials from the end-user or the reseller. The characteristics of reverse logistics consist of basis that high risk in forecasting demand, packaging, quantity, etc. So, more efficient managing risk is required. Our paper suggested one of risk management method that determines priorities operational factors. Priorities of operational factors make a good thing decision making and continuous improvement. So, we suggest priorities to use time and product characteristics including traditional operational factors. Generally reverse logistics are used to take traditional factors like cost-benefit analysis, transportation, warehousing, supply management, remanufacturing/recycling, and packing. And we make compound additional factors which products and time characteristics could be evaluated product quantity, remained economic value, periodic development of new product, and changing design, etc. Recent periodic development of new product and changing design are expressed by 'Clock-Speed'. As a result of this paper, we have different priorities in logistics object. Specifically as product utilities are higher, product and time characteristics are getting important.
