시대여행을 통해서 근대적 여가에 관한 지리, 역사적 연구는 올바른 여가문화 확립에 매우 중요한 역할을한다. 특히 일상 속의 여가 생활은 인간의 인식과 관련된 권리에 대한 새로운 역사적 배경의 인식이 필요하다. 또한일상생활에서의 여가는 개인의 삶의 시간, 공간적 차원에서 새로운 영역으로 발전하고 있다. 본 연구는 “한⋅일간문화관광의 시공간적 확산에 관한 역사”의 시⋅공적 영역의 접점에 초점을 맞추어 일상생활과 인간의 문화사회적측면을 살펴보았다. 양국 간의 문화관광 공간의 확산적 변화과정에 대해 고찰하였다. 그 결과, 근대 이전의 시대를거치면서 인간의 활동 영역이 극대화되어 문화관광의 확산에 따른 근대 여가의 활동영역이 교통의 발달에 따라 비지적, 접촉적 확산이 되고, 이에 문화관광의 활동영역이 변화하였음을 알 수 있었다. 더 나아가 어떠한 변화 과정을 거쳐 근대적 여가에 있어 문화관광 확산을 통한 철도 교통발달이 병행되어 대중적 상업관광의 시대를 열고, 근대시대로부터 현대로까지 이어지는 관광활동영역을 창출하였는지에 대해 밝혀 낼 수 있었다.
Geography according to the periodic background and a historical research play a very important rolein establishing right leisure. Especially, leisure life during everyday life needs a new recognition of historicalbackground about the right related to human recognition. Also, leisure in the space of everyday life is developinginto a new area at the level of individual life hours and space. Focusing on a contact point of public area of“diffusion of leisure and the history of modern tourism culture between Korea and Japan” and examining everydaylife and human cultural and social sides, this study considered the divergent process of change of the space ofculture and tourism between the two countries. As a result, this study could discover that human activity area wasmaximized through premodern era, the area of leisure activity was changed, railroads were opened according to thedevelopment of transportation and that the area of cultural tourism was changed, and by extension, through what changingprocess the era of popular commercial activity was inaugurated along with railroad traffic development through diffusionof culture and tourism and tourism activity region lasting from modern period to today was created.
