문화경관은 시간의 경과에 의해서 형성된 지역문화의 소산물이다. 최근 세계화가 진전됨에 따라 지역의 중요성이 더욱 부각되고 있다. 연구지역인 중랑은 서울 외사산의 하나인 용마산과 유명인사의 묘역인 망우산, 봉화를 올렸던 봉화산 그리고 장미축제가 화려한 중랑천 변에 입지해 있다. 이와같이 중랑은 자연환경을 중심으로 그 위에 문화경관 자원에 대한 스토리텔링을 구성할 수 있었으며, 이를 토대로 지오투어리즘이 가능하게 되었다. 중랑 지오투어리즘의 루트는 지자체의 노력으로 개발되어 지속적으로 지역주민과 인근 주민들의 지역 이해에 도움을 주고 있다. 특히, 이와같은 활동은 부정적 요소를 긍정적 이미지로 탈바꿈하는데 성공하였을 뿐만 아니라 중랑향토 문화해설사들을 양성하여 이들이 지역해설사로 활동함으로서 지역이해의 시너지효과를 보고 있다.
The cultural landscape is the result of local culture formed by the passage of time. The importance of the area has become even more apparent recently as globalization progresses. Jungnang area is located to the west of Seoul Yongma Mt., famous people was buried Mangwu Mt., the people was lighted a signal fire in Bonghwa Mt. and it is located in Jungnangcheon. Thus Jungnang storytelling is central to the formation of the natural environment on the basis it was possible to geo-tourism. Jungnang root of geo-tourism has been developed through the efforts of local governments is to continue to help local residents and local understanding of local residents. In particular, it is successful in transforming the negative elements of the above activities as well as a positive image and volunteered to train the local culture Jungnang Commentator.
