Nam Koo Man (1629-1711) is the scholar known of the symbol of 'fidelity' and 'taste'. Yak-Chon, his pen name, had tried to make a new trend in our literature history since in the middle of Cho-Sun dynasty. He was a fundamentalist and was writer, strongly proud of being scholar. He had been a fundamental confucian who followed the Taoism, Confucianism, but began to change his literature trend influenced by the experience of the exiled life in Mangsang. His thought about the people's culture makes us know the importance of value of human purity. it is originated by the philosophy of maintaining our culture, he has to be highly evaluated one of the most scholars and writers who developed new studies throughout the understanding of the social change.
