기술과 윤리의 관계에서 주된 논쟁은 기술이 인간의 통제아래에 있는지 아니면 통제를 넘어서 존재하는지였다. 우리는 기술이 선하지 악한지에 대해서 질문을 대신해서 기술이 자연과 선(good)에 대한 질문에 어떤 영향을 끼쳤는지를 질문해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 한나 아렌트를 통해서 기술에 대해서 새로운 방식으로 재평가를 해야 한다고 주장한다. 아렌트는 기술과 윤리의 관계에 있어서 익숙한 개념적인 접근의 한계를 넘어서 새로운 방식으로 기술을 재평가하고 있기 때문이다. 우선 아렌트에 있어서 기술의 의미, 활동적인 삶을 만들기 위한 노동, 작업, 행위를 알아본 뒤 세계가 어떻게 판단되어지는지를 알아본다. 아렌트의 사고는 기술과 윤리의 관계에 있어서 기술을 어떻게 평가해야 하는지에 대해서 많은 암시를 준다. 첫째로, 도구성의 제한점 즉 기술에 의한 도구적 합리성의 제한점을 설명하는데 유용하다. 둘째로, 세계는 ‘말과 행위에 적합한 장소’인지에 의해서 판단되어져야 하며, 미학 판단으로 되어야 한다는 것이다. 셋째로, 기술은 점차 발달해서 자연의 행위의 불확실성을 방해하는 것이다. 넷째로, 세계의 안정성의 의미를 통해서 세계안의 변화를 모색한다. 결국 필자는 현대기술사회에서의 인간의 조건이 무엇인지를 성찰하고자 한다. 기술이 발달해도 행위의 단초는 인간이다. 인간이 부단히 인간조건을 창출하기 위해서 노력하지 않는다면 그것이야 말로 아렌트가 우려하는 '악'의 사회가 될 것이라고 본다. 기술사회에 있어서 세계를 지속하기 위한 인간의 조건은 책임, 약속과 용서, 사랑이라고 생각한다.


There has been a controversy over the relation with technology and ethics whether technology exists under human control or not. Instead questioning whether technology has good or vice, we've got to ask for what the technology effects on nature and goodness. In this thesis, I take up the position that there have to be a new valuation for technology in a new way with Hannah Arendt. Since Hannah Arendt takes revaluation on a relation with technology and ethics over the limit of familiar conceptual approach. Before everything I make it appear that how the world could be judged after checking the meaning of technology, labour, work, action for active life on Hannah Arendt. Hannah Arendt's speculation gives us much intimation how to valuate technology in relation between technology and ethics. First, this is useful for explanation for limit of rationalistic nature, in other words, limitation of instrumental rationality. Second, the world has to be valued of the matter which it's a ‘suitable place for the word and action' or not. also in a position of aesthetic judgement. Third, technology develops itself everyday, so abstract uncertainty of action. Forth, the variation for the world in the meaning of world stability. After all, I, as the author, make self reflection on what the condition of human being is in the present-technology society. However the technology makes development, the unit foundation of action is human being. If there's not any effort for creation of human condition, then that would be exactly the society of ‘vice' which Hannah Arendt was anxious about. Here I give a thought the condition of human being for the world continuance is responsibility, promise and forgiveness, love.
