The purpose of the study was to examine the effects of a collaborative teamwork interventions on the gross motor ability(gross motor function, the functional mobility capability) and the motor-related individualized education goals of students with cerebral palsy. Twenty-four students with cerebral palsy, eight special educators, eight para-professionals, and four physical therapists participated in this study, and were assigned to one of the experimental or control group. The collaborative teamwork intervention was implemented for 4 months. Independent t-test was used to analyze the differences between two groups. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the effects on the gross motor function and functional mobility capability between the experimental group and the control group, and that motor-related IEP goals of experimental group were accomplished. Finally, discussions, implications and future directions of the collaborative teamwork practices were presented based on the results of the study.
