The administrators of the Choseon dynasty who took Neo-Confucian as the ruling principal tried to implement Chinyeongrye(親迎禮) in accordance with Juja-Garye(朱子家禮) since foundation of the country. Henceforth, Chinyeongrye was not applied to the Marriage Ceremony of ordinary people, but was applied to that of the Royal Family except King. It is assumed that Chinyeongrye was applied to Crown prince was under the reign of Taejong(太宗). It was under the reign of Saejong(世宗) that Yungrye(六禮) was finally organized. Yungrye(六禮) is the marriage procedure which was listed at 『Seajong Sillok(世宗實錄)』 「Orye(五禮): Five Rituals」 and 『Gukjooryeui(國朝五禮儀)』, and consists of NapChe(納采), NapJing(納徵), GoGi(告期), ChaeckBin(冊嬪), ChinYeong(親迎), and DongRoi(同牢)After choosing crown princess, Garyedogam(嘉禮都監) was implemented. Then, BeolGung(別宮) was firstly prepared. Byeol-Gung played a role of maintaining the authority of Queen or Crown prince who were selected as royal family, and successfully performing the grand ritual: the marriage ceremony of royal family. During the early Choseon period, King determined Crown princess by himself in support of the members of the royal family. After the reign of INjo(仁祖), it was regularized to formally consult with minister before the decision of royal marriage At the reign of Sukjong(肅宗), “Myohyunrye(廟見禮)”, which was Sarim's(士林) long-cherished ambition, was enforced. It was the result of accepting Sarim's standpoint, ‘Restoration of Gorye(古禮)’. The marriage ceremony of Crown prince which was held with the establishment of the Taehan Empire(大韓帝國), was based on absolutely new form. It was performed in an ingenious way which combined ‘Euirye(儀禮)’ and ‘MyeongSa-BongYeong(命使奉迎)’ to show the dignity of the Empire.
