So negotiation and development process over diplomatic protocol in the Joseon Dynasty were the fiercest site of diplomatic history between Korea and Japan. Discord and friction over diplomatic protocol have been from ancient to modern age on the relation history between Korea and Japan. One of the causes is phenomenon of content for diplomatic superiority in the international society of East Asia of premodern age. The conflict of national consciousness and remarkable gap of mutual perception revealed discord over protocol in diplomatic stage. Diplomacy via Tongsinsa in the Joseon Dynasty is not exception. Changes on diplomatic protocol in delegates of 1636 and 1711 were the most representative cases. In this paper I considered Japanese reception for Tongsinsa and changeable aspects on protocol of delivery of national literature. Furthermore, I considered the reception and protocol of Joseon Dynasty in comparative perspective. The Problem of diplomatic protocol is very interesting topic that is conflicting site of mutual perception and diplomatic policy. In that respect, this paper feels not quite satisfied and is still preliminary stages, I will make for next subject of study.
