<Tai Ping Guang Ji>’s category classification of “animal” reflected <Er Ya>’s classification knowledge, also based on the novel interesting, legendary aesthetic psychology on Chinese traditional culture and cultural implication of the picking animal. It shows that the animal classification concept from the aesthetic perspective in the ancient Chinese novels is not only influenced by many cultural factors such as Buddhism, Taoism and folk, but also the changes of animal and the level of animal calamity as the layout standard. Animal classification thought are not to animal appearance to divide, but from a human’s understanding about animal existence space. The arrangement of animal classification depends on the relations between animal’s existence and human. This is a human-centered ideas of animal classification.
