The development of ICT(Information Communications Technology) calls for teachers to explore and research into ways of integrating smart learning technologies into face-to-face teaching. Given the already known advantages of blended learning in interpreter training environments, this paper aims to examine the application of an ICT tool, namely SNS. Following a review of the relevant literature on smart learning and interpreter training, this paper discusses various functions and features of a popular Korean SNS, KakaoGroup, and how it has been utilized in a consecutive interpreting class in support of teaching and learning. Despite its limitations as a case study, this paper sheds some light on the innovative uses of emerging pedagogical approaches and smart learning technologies, and calls for further research, which is conducive to sharing and promotion of best teaching practices and supports students learning and education in smart learning environments.
