본 연구는 미혼여성이 연애경험 중 인식하는 아버지와의 관계경험에 대해 탐구하고자 이들의 어린시절 아버지와의 관계경험과 그 경험이 연애과정에서 어떻게 드러나는지를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 미혼여성 3명을 참여자로 선정하여 질적 사례연구 방법을 적용, 심층면담을 실시하였다. 분석결과는, 첫째, 참여자들이 안전한 환경에서 초기 양육자와의 관계경험을 통해 정서적 친밀감을 충분히 경험하지 못하는 경우에는, 그것이 상처 혹은 미해결과제로 남게 되어 성인이 된 후에도 지속적인 영향을 주는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 참여자들은 남자친구를 선택함에 있어서 ‘이마고 일치(Imago Match) 성향’이 있음을 인식하게 되었다. 셋째, 참여자들은 자신과 아버지에 대한 인식의 변화가 연애관계에 어떤 영향을 주고 있음을 인식하게 되었다. 또한 참여자들이 아버지를 더 많이 이해하게 된 경우에도 불구하고, 현재의 이성관계에서 어린시절 아버지와의 관계경험의 기억들이 여전히 영향을 끼치고 있음을 느끼고 있었다. 본 연구를 통해서 미혼여성들의 연애경험 중 어린시절 아버지와의 관계경험이 어떤 모습으로 드러나는지를 알 수 있었고, 또한 이들이 자신과 아버지를 새롭게 이해하는 과정을 통해서 앞으로의 이성관계와 배우자 선택 과정, 더 나아가 미래의 부부관계와 부녀관계 형성에 있어서 새로운 전환점을 가져올 수 있음에 의의가 있다.
he purpose of this research was to study the influential effect of the unmarried woman's relational experience with father in her childhood on future romantic relational experiences. To achieve this goal, personal interviews were conducted with three unmarried women using the case study method. The results of these studies were as follows: First, if participants did not have enough emotional intimacy from her relational experience with an early nurturer in a secure environment, this experience would become psychological wounds or unfinished businesses. Second, participants recognized that they choose their partner as an Imago match who was similar or an opposite character of their father. Third, participants reported that the change in the perception of self and father had impact on their romantic relationship. Even though they understand their father, memories of father-daughter relation still would affect their romantic relations.
