이 글은 플로리다 사사끼 랜드리의 창조 도시 담론을 소개하고 사회적 경제의 관점에서 비판적으로 검토한다. 먼저 세 접근의 이론적 맥락을 구별한 다음 플로리다의 창조 계급 론을 평가 비판한다. 그리고 사회적 경제 모델과 관련하여 사사끼와 랜드리의 논의를 재조명하여 창조 계급을 유인하는 도시 나 용어만 바꾼 문화 도시 전략 을 뛰어 넘어 생활 방식이라는 의미의 문화와 호혜적 경제를 융합시키는 대안적인 창조 도시론의 가능성을 모색한다. 이처럼 사회적 경제 모델에 입각한 창조 도시의 대안은 사회적 자본을 기축으로 사회적 기업과 사회적 생태를 통합시킴으로써 특히 낙후 도시 중소 도시의 창조 환경 조성을 통한 발전 전략이 될 수 있다고 하겠다.
This paper introduces the Creative City discourses of Florida Sasaki and Landry and critically examines them on the basis of the perspective of social economy After considering theoretical contexts of these three approaches it deals with and criticizes Florida s Creative Class theory Through einterpreting the discussions of Sasaki and Landry in relation to the social economy model this paper tries to make up the alternative Creative City theory which connects the culture as a way of life and the reciprocal economy This alternative of Creative City on the basis of the perspective of social economy may elucidate the developmental strategies of disadvantaged cities by the integration of the social capital social enterprises and the social ecology.
