이 글은 변증법의 관점에서 민족의 형성 과정의 형식을 재구성해 보는데 목적을 두었다. 필자는 민족 역시 그 자체 하나의 존재라는 점에서 헤겔이『논리학』에서 보여주는 존재 운동의 과정과 동일한 방식으로 그 형성 과정을 설명할 수 있으리라 생각한다. 그리하여 이 글에서필자는 민족이 존재의 각 단계마다 어떠한 형식으로 자기를 정립하고구성해나가는지 살펴볼 것이며, 맺는 글에서는 이러한 민족의 자기 운동에 있어‘자유’개념이 가지는 의의와 역할을 간략하게 살펴봄으로써 민족의 차후 운동이 지양해야 할 바를 주장해 보고자 한다.
This article is supposed to reconstruct the form of the building process of the nation in the view of the dialectic. I think that the building process can be explained in the same method which is Hegel’s movement process of the being he suggested in Logic. Thus, in this article, I examine how the nations stand and constitute themselves in each step of self-movement of the being. In conclusion, I briefly examine the meaning and the role of the notion of ‘freedom’ in the self-movement of the being in order to suggest what is to sublate in the future movement of the nations.
