Shim, Hye-ryeong. 2009. The Study on ‘Culture Based Vocabulary’ for Foreign Leaner. The Language and Culture 5-2: 175-195. This research points out that proper nouns, which were considered as having relatively less value in vocabulary, can actually become the shortcut to the fluency of foreign learners. Also, it tries to confirm it's importance on vocabulary by the corpus of native speakers. These serial kinds of vocabulary will be put together under the term ‘culture based vocabulary’ and furthermore, this will be diversly arranged and analyzed. If these words are presented and educated in the field of Korean education, this would do great service to the completion of Korean studying by being extended to the understanding of the cultural, social background of Korean language.
