Perception of Social Workers on Service Process Involvement of People with Intellectual Disabilities at Residential Facilities : Using Importance Performance Analysis(IPA)

이 연구는 장애인거주시설의 서비스과정에서 사회복지사가 인식하는 지적장애인의 참여에 대한 중요도와 실행도의 실태 및 차이 분석을 통해 실천전략을 제시하고자 한 것이다. 이를 위해 IPA matrix 방법을 활용하여, 각 서비스과정 영역별로 중요도와 실행도의 차이를이차원 도표에 표시하여 전문가의 인식과 실천의 간격을 구체적으로 제시하였다. 이러한 시도는 비록 탐색적 연구로서의 한계를 갖는다 할지라도, 사회복지사의 인식과 실천사이의 갭을 도식화함으로써 국내장애인복지실천 현장에 근거한 실천전략 및 관련 논의를 제시하였다는 점에 그 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze perception of social workers on service process involvement of people with intellectual disabilities using importance performance analysis(IPA), and suggest practice strategies in Korean disability services. The research contents are: 1) identify main items in service process involvement of people with intellectual disabilities, 2) analyze social workers'perceived importances and performances in service process involvement of people with intellectual disabilities, 3) review a statistical difference of social workers'perceived importances and performances according to their status in agency, 4) by using importance-performances matrix(IPA), perception distribution of social workers on service process involvement of people with intellectual disabilities is suggested and practice strategies in Korean disability services are discussed. Based on this examination, this study introduces concrete tasks related to policy,service organization, professional education and research to activate user participation in Korean disability services.
