본 연구의 목적은 조부모의 입장에서 본 맞벌이 가족 손자녀 양육에 대한 인식을 유형화 하고, 다양한 인식에서 파생되는 조부모와 성인자녀의 상호작용을 탐색하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 Q방법론을활용하였다. Q표본은 심층면접과 신문기사, 선행연구 분석을 통해 36개를 선정하였고, 12가족의 조부모 14명과 성인자녀 18명이 Q분류에 참여하였다. QUANL 프로그램으로 자료를 분석한 결과 3개 유형으로 나타났고 이는 전체 변량의 28.93%를 설명한다. 조부모의 입장은 손자녀 양육에 대한 전반적인 만족도, 세대관계 인식, 스트레스 수준, 보상에 대한 생각과 만족도 등에 따라 역할향유형, 성인자녀순응형, 역할기피형으로 구분된다. 12가족의 조부모와 성인자녀 총 20쌍에 대한 분석결과에서 5개의 세대관계유형이 나타났으며, 상호작용의 특성은 심층면접을 통해 확인한 바를 기술하였다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 맞벌이 가족의 손자녀 양육에 따른 세대관계 증진을 위한 가족복지적 함의와 후속연구를 제안하였다.
The purpose of this research is to examine the types of grandparenting from perceptions that double-income families’ grandparents have about grandparenting and to explore the dynamics between Grandparents and their Adult Childern derived from their various perceptions about grandparenting by using Q-methodology. Q-samples, 36 statements representative of subjectivity of grandparents were extracted from the Q-population which was constructed, along with analyzing previous research and newspaper articles, by conducting in-depth interviews. A total of 12 familiess(14 grandparents and 18 adult children) participated in Q-sorting and the data analysis using QUANL program found three types accounting for 36.67% of the total variance. Grandparents' perspectives about grandparenting are classified into "role-enjoyment" type, "adult children obedience" type and "role-avoidance" according to grandparenting satisfaction, perception on intergenerational relations, subjective stress level and perceptions and satisfaction of reward. Intergenerational dynamics appear five types based on the analysis of 20 pairs of grandparents and their adult children. The specific characteristics of the 5 dynamics were described by using in-depth interviews. As the results of this study, some discussions to improve intergenerational relationships are derived and some further studies are suggested.
