최근 들어 한중 양국 간의 교류가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 상이한 사회제도, 종교, 삶의 방식, 민족습성 등에 따른 언어적 문화적 차이가 존재한다. 이런 차이가 교류의 장애물로 작용하게 되며 번역은 바로 이런 장애물을 제거하는 과정이이기도 하다. 역동적인 한중 교류로 번역의 수요가 확대되고 있으며 번역이라는 학문적 탐구가 요구되고 있다. 본문은 주로 한중 또는 중한 번역에 있어서의 주요 난제를 다음의 네 가지로 분석하였다. 첫째는 어학 습득 기초단계에서 번역적 사고의 필요성을 조명하였다. 둘째는 한자어 번역의 문제점에 대해 다루었고 셋째는 관용어 번역의 어려움에 대해 분석하였다. 마지막으로 속담 번역의 문제점과 중요성에 대해 논하였다.
In recent years, the exchanges between Korea and China have been very active. However, there is much difference between the two countries in the social systems, religions, traditions and lifestyles. The result is the formation of different languages and cultures. The function of translation is to remove and overcome these difficulties and obstacles in communication. The frequent exchanges between Korea and China have constantly demanded more need of translation. As a field of study, translation requires further research. The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the significant issues of Chinese-Korean and Korean-Chinese translation. They are of four main issues: 1) thinking skills required for the beginning stage of translation language learning; 2) mistranslation caused by misunderstandings of Chinese vocabulary in Korean; 3) difficulties of translating idiomatic expressions; 4) difficult skills of translating proverbs.
