<촉도부>의 구성은 크게 여섯 단락으로 나눌 수 있다. 제1단은 서촉의 공자가 동오의 왕손에게 蜀都에 대한 설명을 제기하는 부분이다. 제2단에서는 촉도의 역사, 지세, 물산에 대해 개괄한 후 남⋅북⋅동⋅서부의 지세와 물산을 각각 상술하였다. 제3단은 촉한 강역 내의 자연의 형세를 평원, 원림, 소택의 세 부분으로 나누어 설명하였다. 제4단은 도성의 웅장함, 저자의 번성함, 부상과 호족의 연회의 성대함, 부호들의 사냥의 장관과 뱃놀이의 즐거움 등 다섯 부분으로 나눠진다. 제5단은 촉 출신의 걸출한 인물 네 사람에 대한 자랑이다. 제6단은 촉도의 지세가 험준하고 방어의 요새여서 훌륭한 도읍지라는 말로 작품을 마무리하였다.
Shu Capital Rhapsody(蜀都賦) describes the area of Shu(蜀) and its capital of Chengdu(成都). It is divided into six sections. The first section is an introduction. The second section consists of summarization of history and terrain of Shu capital, and describing of things in four directions of south, north, east and west. The third section describes plain, garden and swamp in ShuHan(蜀漢) territory. The fourth section describes the solidity of fortress, the flourish of cities and towns, the luxury banquet of the local gentries and rich merchants, spectacle hunting and boating of magnates and billionaires. The fifth section boasts that it was also the home of prominent writers, notably Sima Xiangru(司馬相如), Yan Jun(嚴遵), Wang Bao(王褒), and Yang Xiong(揚雄). And the last section explains its rugged terrain and finishes his speaking.
