이 연구는 장애 고등학생의 진학준비에 대한 실태를 분석하고 진학결정에 영향을 미치는 변인을 찾아내는 데 목적이 있다. 연구를 위하여 한국교육개발원의 한국교육종단연구 조사자료가 사용되었다. 일반 고등학교에 재학 중인 289명의 고등학교 3학년 장애학생들의 자료를 선별하여 카이검증과 이항 로지스틱 회귀분석으로 연구결과를 분석하였다. 학생들은 대부분 학교교육중심으로 대학진학 준비를 하고 있었으며, 미래의 원하는 직업을 위하여 대학 진학을 원했고, 진학결정에 가족과 학교 선생님이 가장 많은 도움을 주었다. ‘사교육’, ‘수업이해도’, ‘상담을 통한 진학진로지도’가 학생들의 진학결정에 유의한 영향을 주는 변인으로 확인되었다. 졸업을 앞 둔 장애 학생들과 가족의 진학결정에 도움이 되는 지원 방법이 연구결과를 바탕으로 논의되었다.


The purpose of the study is to examine the actual conditions of college entrance preparation and identify the predictors of decision making on the post high school academic path in high school students with disabilities. Furthermore, the study also aims to provide the students with ways to better make a decision on their post high school academic path. The Korean Education Longitudinal Study data(2005-2010), which was developed by the Korean Educational Development Institute, was used for the present study. The data is comprised of 289 high school students with disabilities enrolled in regular high schools nationwide. The chi-square test and the binary logistic regression analysis were used for analyzing the data. The study found that the majority of students with disabilities were involved in school based college preparation. They were motivated to enter higher education institutes for decent future employment opportunities. In addition, their family and school teachers were the significant contributors in their decision to enter college. ‘Private education’, ‘class mastery level’, and ‘career counseling’ were significant predictors in the decision of the future college education of high school students with disabilities. Based on these results, the study suggests ways to further support for high school students with disabilities regarding their future educational plan.
