최근 하나의 내용을 다양한 매체로 각색하여 장르의 경계를 넘나들고 있다. 예를 들면 만화를 드라마화 하거나 소설을 영화나 드라마로 전환하는 것이다. 매체의 전환은 과거보다 현대에 이르러 더욱더 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 이러한 현상은 대중문화의 확장을 의미하는 동시에 대중들의 문화욕구도 다양해지고 있다는 것을 의미한다. 하나의 내용이지만 각색자에 의해 전환과정을 거친 이차텍스트는 매체의 특성과 각색자의 세계관에 의해 필연적으로 차이가 있을 수밖에 없다. 때문에 원텍스트를 이차텍스트로 전환하기 위해서는 매체의 성격에 따라 변환해야 하고 각색자의 세계관이 은밀하게 반영되어야 한다. 결국 매체의 전환과정에서 가장 중요한 것은 이차텍스트로 재구성하는 각색자의 예술적 힘이 밑바탕이 되어야 한다. 이 글의 목적은 함세덕(Se-Deok, Ham)의 희곡을 시나리오로 전환하는 과정을 분석하여 원텍스트와 이차텍스트의 변모양상을 살펴보는 것이다. 논의를 전개하기 위해 스타니슬랍스키의 극예술 이론으로 희곡과 시나리오를 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 두 텍스트의 변모양상은 연극과 영화라는 매체의 특성에 의해 ‘차이’가 있을 수밖에 없음을 확인했다.

The conversion of medium was actively progress to the present than in past years. This kind of situation means the expansion of popular culture and people’s cultural wants be diversify. The secondary text pass through the conversion processes by the dramatizer has inevitable difference by the characteristic of medium and the world view of dramatizer. Accordingly, if you convert original text into secondary text, you should convert as characteristic of medium and the world view of dramatizer are reflected in a work by the back door. At last the most important thing in the conversion processes of medium is reconstruct the text to match the characteristic of medium, and the world view of dramatizer expressed in the end of work, it should convey the theme to the receiver. Namely, the text pass through the conversion processes means it should groundwork for dramatizer’s artistic power. The purpose of this passage is research into a transformational aspect of original text and secondary text through the process which switchover the Ham Sedeok’s play to a screenplay. To evolve argument I have done a comparative analysis a play and screenplay by the Stanislavski’s theory about the dramatic art. As a result, the two text’s transformational aspect confirmed it has difference of the contents and theme that convey to receiver by the characteristic of medium that movies and a play.
