이 글은 매월당집 권1의 기행시편 42수를 연작적 질서 속에서 살피고자 하는 핀 논고의 제1부로서, 경도행으로 묶일 수 있는 제 18수까지의 작품세계를 분석한 것이다. 京都 오가는 길의 서정이라 할 수 있는 이들 18수는, 제 8수 <普濟餞飮>을 경계로 하여 전후가 뚜렷한 대칭을 이루고 있다. 가는 길의 황홀과 歸路의 번민이 맞서고 있는 꼴이다. 가는 길의 황홀 속에는 塵網에 대한 警戒와 憂慮가 비쳐들고 있음에 비해, 귀로의 번민과 우울은 旅程의 진행과 더불어 점점 맑아져서 <청평산>에 이르고 있다. 그리하여 첫째 수 <鴨峯路花>의 황홀은 마지막 수인 제 18수 <청평산>에서 또 다른 형태로 변용되어 번민의 정화를 거친 자연 친화의 美感을 구현해 내고 있다. 흔히 四遊錄으로 알려져 있는 기행시편들이나 <관동일록> <명주일록>과도 판이한 이들 42수의 작품세계의 구명은 김시습의 생애를 재구하는 데 있어서나 그의 문학세계를 이해하는 데 있어 중요한 디딤돌이 될 것으로 전망된다.

This paper is a research on the aspect of the traveler’s journal of Kim Sisup(金時習). The traveler’s journal of Kim Sisup is consist of 42 poems. They are continuous works. In this paper, the 1st part of it is analysed. From 1st to 18th, 18poems are the 1st part. They are related to a travel toward Capital city of Seoul. From 1st to 8th, 8 poems reflect the ecstatic joy of visiting Seoul. From 9th to 18th 10 poems consist of returning to Cheongpyongsan(淸平山). These two parts are closely related. They reflect the inner flow of Kim Sisup(金時習)’s thought and feeling.
